Our goal is to provide a creative, educational, and supportive environment where students can develop artistic skills, build confidence, and enjoy the process of making art.

Website Use

The content on the Mission Art Center website is provided for general information, class registration, program details, service descriptions, and communication with our studio. You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with the website, its security, or its availability.

You may not attempt to copy, damage, misuse, hack, disrupt, or interfere with the website or any related technology. You may not use the website to submit false information, spam, harmful content, or unauthorized commercial messages.

Classes and Programs

Mission Art Center offers a variety of art classes and programs, including drawing, painting, acrylic painting, oil painting, watercolor, pastel drawing, pencil drawing, air dry clay, collage, craft classes, summer camp, and special needs art classes.

Class schedules, tuition, teacher assignments, course descriptions, available seats, age requirements, and program details may change at any time. Mission Art Center reserves the right to update, reschedule, cancel, modify, or replace a class when necessary.

Enrollment is subject to availability. Submitting a registration form does not guarantee placement until registration is confirmed by Mission Art Center.

Student Registration

Students or parents and guardians may be required to provide accurate registration information, including student name, parent or guardian name, contact information, class selection, student age, and other details needed for enrollment.

Parents and guardians are responsible for making sure all registration information is complete and accurate. Mission Art Center may contact parents, guardians, or adult students to confirm class details, payment information, scheduling, or other enrollment matters.

Tuition and Payments

Tuition is due according to the payment terms provided by Mission Art Center. Tuition rates, class prices, package pricing, portrait painting prices, and special offers may change without prior notice.

Any discounts, promotions, sibling discounts, multi-class discounts, or seasonal offers are subject to approval, availability, and current studio policies. Discounts may not be combined unless Mission Art Center approves them in writing.

Students may not be allowed to attend class if tuition or required fees have not been paid.

Refund Policy

Mission Art Center’s refund policy is based on the timing of the cancellation or withdrawal. No refunds are given after the second week of the session. When eligible, refunds may be prorated for the remainder of the session, less a $25 processing fee.

Refund requests must be submitted directly to Mission Art Center. Refund approval, amount, and timing are subject to review and the current enrollment status of the student.

Missed classes, late arrivals, early departures, non-attendance, or personal scheduling conflicts may not qualify for a refund unless Mission Art Center approves an exception.

Class Attendance and Make-Up Classes

Students are expected to attend class at their scheduled time. If a student is unable to attend, parents, guardians, or adult students should contact Mission Art Center as soon as possible.

Make-up classes are not guaranteed and may depend on teacher availability, class schedule, space, and studio approval. Mission Art Center reserves the right to decide whether a make-up class can be offered.

Parent and Guardian Responsibilities

For students under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for registration, payment, communication, pick-up, drop-off, emergency contact information, and compliance with studio policies.

Parents and guardians should arrive on time for drop-off and pick-up. Mission Art Center is not responsible for students outside the approved class time unless a separate arrangement has been made with the studio.

Parents and guardians should notify Mission Art Center of any allergies, medical needs, behavioral concerns, special instructions, or other important information that may affect the student’s class experience.

Student Conduct

Mission Art Center is committed to providing a respectful and supportive learning environment. Students are expected to treat teachers, staff, classmates, artwork, supplies, and studio property with respect.

Disruptive behavior, unsafe conduct, bullying, harassment, damage to property, or repeated failure to follow studio rules may result in removal from class without refund.

Mission Art Center reserves the right to refuse service or discontinue enrollment when necessary to protect students, staff, teachers, property, or the quality of the class environment.

Safety and Studio Policies

Mission Art Center makes reasonable efforts to provide a safe and organized studio environment. However, art activities may involve materials such as paint, pencils, brushes, clay, paper, canvas, tools, and other supplies.

Students are expected to follow teacher instructions and use materials safely. Parents, guardians, and adult students understand that participation in art classes may involve minor risks such as stains, spills, minor cuts, allergic reactions, or accidental contact with art materials.

Mission Art Center is not responsible for damage to clothing, shoes, bags, personal belongings, or electronic devices during class. Students are encouraged to wear clothing suitable for art activities.

Art Materials and Personal Items

Mission Art Center may provide certain materials for classes, depending on the program. Some classes or special projects may require students to bring their own materials or pay additional fees.

Students should not bring valuable personal items to class. Mission Art Center is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or misplaced personal belongings.

Artwork Created in Class

Students may take home artwork created during class unless the artwork is being held for drying, display, review, exhibition, photography, or another approved studio purpose.

Mission Art Center may photograph student artwork for educational, promotional, website, social media, or portfolio purposes unless a parent, guardian, or adult student requests otherwise in writing.

Photography and Media Consent

Mission Art Center may take photographs or videos of classes, artwork, studio activities, or student projects for marketing, educational, website, social media, and promotional purposes.

If you do not want yourself or your child to appear in photos or videos, please notify Mission Art Center in writing before participation. Mission Art Center will make reasonable efforts to honor written requests.

Portrait Painting Services

Mission Art Center offers custom portrait painting services, including single portraits, family portraits, wedding portraits, pet portraits, oil paintings on canvas, and sketch portraits.

Customers may submit photos by email or other approved methods. Customers are responsible for providing clear, high-quality images and confirming that they have the right to use the submitted photo for a custom artwork order.

Portrait painting prices may vary based on size, number of subjects, detail level, background, painting style, deadline, and other project requirements. Estimated pricing does not guarantee the final price unless Mission Art Center confirms the order.

Custom portrait orders may require a deposit or full payment before work begins. Because custom artwork is created specifically for each customer, deposits, completed artwork, and approved custom orders may be non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Turnaround times are estimates and may vary based on artist availability, project size, complexity, revisions, and current order volume.

Customer Approval for Custom Artwork

Mission Art Center may allow customers to view the progress of certain portrait paintings or custom artwork orders. Customer feedback may be considered during the process, but Mission Art Center does not guarantee unlimited revisions.

Once artwork is approved, completed, picked up, shipped, or delivered, additional changes may require extra fees.

Intellectual Property

All website content, text, images, graphics, logos, class descriptions, artwork examples, designs, and other materials displayed on the Mission Art Center website are owned by Mission Art Center or used with permission.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, modify, sell, or use Mission Art Center content without written permission.

Students and customers retain personal ownership of their original artwork unless otherwise agreed. Mission Art Center may use photos of student artwork or custom artwork for portfolio, educational, marketing, or promotional purposes unless a written opt-out request is submitted.

You are responsible for providing accurate contact information and updating Mission Art Center if your phone number or email address changes.

No Guarantee of Results

Mission Art Center works to provide high-quality art instruction and creative support. However, artistic progress depends on each student’s age, skill level, attendance, practice, interest, effort, and learning pace.

Mission Art Center does not guarantee specific artistic results, skill levels, portfolio outcomes, school admissions, competition results, or professional advancement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mission Art Center, its owners, teachers, employees, contractors, representatives, and affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages related to website use, class participation, studio attendance, portrait orders, scheduling changes, or use of services.

Mission Art Center’s total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific class, program, or service related to the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Mission Art Center harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the website, participation in classes, violation of these Terms and Conditions, misuse of studio property, submitted content, or failure to follow studio policies.

For minor students, the parent or legal guardian accepts responsibility for the student’s conduct and compliance with these Terms and Conditions.

Mission Art Center may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on the website with a revised last updated date.
